The best laid plans...

Merry Christmas! We did get a foot of snow - more in some areas - so our dinner, tours of the Holt House, and the rest of the community activities planned for last Saturday fell by the wayside. There have been wide-spread power outages, telephone service disrupted, roads blocked by fallen trees and wires - in other words, a real mess!!

Anyone with information for the January newsletter for the society, it's time to get that together. If you haven't paid your 2010 dues, it's time for that annual chore as well. Our next meeting is Thursday, January 28th at noon - covered dish lunch before the meeting!! If schools are closed for bad weather, the meeting will be cancelled. We can hope for a nice day.

Saturday, Saturday...where did Thursday come from in my last post?? The dinner is Saturday...IF we don't have a foot of snow!! It sure does sound like the weather is going to be treacherous tomorrow...

The Holt House is all decorated for tours; the "fixings" for the dinner are in the refrigerator; everything is ready but the weather.... and there is a parade at 5 PM... the weather man is NOT cooperating if he doesn't want Santa to come to Glenville!!
